Much of the confusion surrounding God's Word is founded on the false premise of premillennialism

This doctrine promotes the misunderstanding that God's plan failed and Jesus died as a result, and that in the end times Jesus will return and set up a kingdom on earth and reign for a thousand years (the so-called “millennial reign of Christ”). This has permeated the religious world as a result of careless teachers and sensationalist writers. But what does the Bible actually say about the end times?

Ecumenicalism/Ecumenism is another source of major confusion that undermines the unity Christ actually wanted for us.

Many in the religious world will say, "Let's agree to disagree. As long as [insert common idea], that's all that matters." And then they expect that they can still work toward the same goals. But which parts of God’s Word can we exclude?

The powerful impact of God’s Word is greatly watered down by the various “isms” that arrived on the scene long after the Bible was completed  - which should come as no surprise. Jesus told His apostles in John 15 that keeping His commandments and teaching them faithfully was the means by which they would abide in His love and help bring others to spiritual maturity. He also warned them ahead of time that not everyone would commit to standing on the truth. In John 17, we read His prayer to the Father that the apostles would bring the truth of His Word to the world and thereby foster full unity on the foundation of that truth. So, just how “strict” does God expect His people to be in regard to sticking with the teachings of Jesus and His apostles?
